This blog is all about letting go of the past and embracing the future - so many times I hear Marketers in our Industry say “but we have always done it that way” – if this is you than move as quickly as you can out of that comfort zone and embrace change.
While on the subject of change – if you struggle with it please take an hour of your time to read the little best seller “Who moved my Cheese” it may very well change your life. Reading this book on a plane way back in 2002 changed my “career life dramatically and I have never looked back.
Lets go back a step: You know the saying ‘think outside the box ‘
This is the same, only I’m telling you to think outside our Industry.
So how do you start the process of thinking differently? Sometimes this is hard e.g. Your Boss may be old school and does not like change. This will require all your skills to convince them otherwise.
Thinking outside the box is not about re-inventing the wheel. It is about looking at your strategy and researching ways to deliver on it in the most up to the minute on trend way.
If you take the time to research what the major Global Brands are doing in marketing you will be on a fast track to bringing your Marketing concepts and ideas into the “now”
